Our Tennis Members can book courts at our Club through ClubSpark, the secure online system from the LTA.

Within the Clubspark system we have a Gunnersbury Triangle Club page – this is where our members can easily find and book a court.

Court Booking and Floodlights

As a member of this great club of ours, every member is encouraged to use our 6 tennis courts 7 days a week. It is usually easy to just turn up and play using the peg and play system.

When members  use the peg and play system, they can secure a court for at least an hour’s play. The start time to be recorded is the next quarter hour, e.g. a game starting at 9.01 or 9.14 should be entered as 9.15.

If no court is available, members should put their pegs up as “waiting” for their chosen court; and once the allotted hour is up, they are fully entitled to play on their chosen court. The players who are required to vacate that court can if they wish opt to put their pegs up and wait for the next available court. If you haven’t put pegs up, or put up a start time, ANYONE is entitled to take your court at any time. The waiting members choose which court to put their waiting pegs on – there should never be any question of which court should vacate, even if two courts “peg time” runs out at the same time.

However, it is strongly advised to check the booking sheet before you head to the club, so that you can view if the courts are being used for events. Our booking system shows a day by day of Courts 1-6, hour by hour.

In doing so, every member should be aware of the following booking rules: –

  • Does your match relate to a league fixture?

YES – please go ahead and book a court

NO – please do NOT book a court

  • Does your match relate to a club championship?

YES – please go ahead and book a court, not exceeding 2 hours

NO – please do NOT book a court

  • Does your match relate to a sanctioned tournament which has been approved by the tennis committee?

YES – please go ahead and book a court

NO – please do NOT book a court

If you answered NO to all above-mentioned rules, please do not despair, as a member, come down to the club and use the Peg and Play system

During the Winter months, October through to April, you are welcome to book floodlights on Courts 2,3,4 and 5. With floodlights, the above rules do NOT apply – all bookings are accepted.

As Court Booking Administrator, I check the system on a regular basis. If there are incorrect bookings, I will contact the member who made the booking, to assist or to question the booking.

Floodlit booking and Tokens

Due to the limited amount of floodlit court time available, all members are advised to book floodlit courts in advance using the online booking system.  For floodlit bookings, personal recreational play has the same priority as match play, and players, regardless of the score in their match must expect to leave the court at the end of their booking time.

Courts 2, 3, 4 and 5 can be booked in ½ hour slots up to a max of 2 hours.

Each token provides lighting for half an hour. Tokens are available from the Bar. The bar opens at 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 7.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays so tokens for earlier sessions will need to be bought in advance.

Token Machine Instructions are on a sheet above the machine. Please note:

  1. Do not put your first token in until you have the right court on display and it says “empty” in the top right-hand corner of the display.
  2. If the lights go out before any further tokens are put in the machine then the lights will not be available for some 5 to 10 minutes while they cool down to a temperature at which they will strike up again.
  3. When blue lights flash on court this means that you have five minutes left. Lights go out automatically at 9.30pm.
