GTC members, families and friends, and local residents recently raised a fantastic total of nearly £1900 for two great charities – Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.

At our 1st Memorial Celebration Tennis Event for Cancer Research UK, there was some great tennis, table tennis, boules, a cake baking competition, brilliant raffle prizes and tabletop sale – all in such a good cause.

Less than a week later, there was another terrific turn out for a very enjoyable coffee morning and social tennis in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Money raised at the event equates to approximately 12 hours of much needed Macmillan nurse time for people with cancer.

Huge thanks to the organisers and to all those who baked delicious pies and cakes, donated great raffle prizes, and gave so generously.

Together, we can make such a difference for those affected by cancer.
